Collierstown Presbyterian Church is a Church with a history . . . a history of families and people who have contributed much to the life of the church.  Some are departed . . . but we have not forgotten their contributions, their love, their spirits.

Iona Morris Potter, 85, of Lexington, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 29, 1923 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late David Gilmore Morris and Ruth Ayres Morris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Huston Potter, Sr.; and a sister, Laurene Rice.

She was a life member of Collierstown Presbyterian Church, a member of AARP and the Ladies Auxiliary of Effinger Fire Department.
